From the Assistant Principals

School Year 2025-2026

From Rose Ann Valerio Assistant Principal I.A

Dear School Community,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at P.S. 92Q. Born and raised in Corona, Queens, I am deeply connected to the vibrant and diverse communities that make our borough so special.

My journey in education began at PS 19Q, where I had the privilege of teaching in a school with demographics very similar to ours. That experience shaped my commitment to equity, collaboration, and student-centered learning—values I am excited to bring to this new role. For the past four years, I served as Assistant Principal at PS 220, where I worked collaboratively with both district and central offices to support student achievement and school improvement. These experiences have strengthened my belief in the power of partnership and shared leadership. It is an honor to join a school community that is already doing such incredible work. I look forward to supporting our students, families, and staff as we continue to build on the great things happening here. Together, we will foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every child can thrive.

Please feel free to reach out—I’m eager to get to know each of you and work alongside you to make this school year a successful one. Warm regards,

Rose Ann Valerio

From John Gentile Assistant Principal

Welcome back!

I hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer. As we begin a new school year, I’m excited to continue building on the academic progress we’ve made together. Our focus remains on deepening learning, supporting growth, and creating a school environment where every student feels challenged and supported. This year, we’re looking forward to even more gains in learning—through engaging instruction, meaningful collaboration, and a strong partnership between school and home.

In addition to our academic goals, we have some great events planned that bring joy and connection to our school community. I’m especially looking forward to the Boo Parade, Field Day, the Color Run, and the many other activities we have planned—each one offering a chance for our students to celebrate, have fun, and build lasting memories. Let’s make this year one of growth, excitement, and learning. I’m so glad to have you back.

John Gentile

Assistant Principal
