We all hope you had a wonderful holiday, and that this new year brings you much health and happiness!
ELA – Module 5 Project Earth : Students will listen to, read, and view a variety of texts and media that present them with information about how caring for the earth and its living things improve life now and in the future. Student Soapbox Project begins. Students will be finding their voice and sharing their opinion on a topic they are passionate about.
Students will learn how to multiply fractions and mixed numbers. Please make sure your child is practicing their multiplication facts (1-12) and reviewing classwork at home, daily.
Unit 2 Students will learn about European exploration.
Earth Systems: Students will learn about water distribution, the natural factors that determine water availability, and how people impact water supplies

- 01/20 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day (school closed)
- 01/21 – iReady Reading Diagnostic begins
- 01/27 – iReady Math Diagnostic begins
- 01/29 –Lunar New Year (School closed)
Graduation pictures will be on January 14th. Students will be taking their graduation picture with a cap and gown which will be provided by the photography company. This will be the picture in the 5th Grade yearbook. An envelope will be sent home from school giving you the option to purchase graduation pictures of your child.
Please continue to look at your child’s folder every day for important information and forms.
