All New York City students currently in grades K-8 (2023-2024 school year) are eligible

1. Visit MySchools.nyc
   • Create an account using your email address or if you already have a MySchools account, just login!
   • At the top right of the portal, you will see the option to translate the application.
   • If you need support accessing
2. Add your child
   • Enter your child’s 9-digit student ID number and MySchools account creation code. You can find this information by contacting your child’s school.
   • If you have applied using MySchools before, your child will already be added to your account.
3. Apply to Summer Rising
   • List as many programs as you want. The more programs you list, the more likely you are to receive a placement of your choice. However, please rank programs in your true preference order and only those that you truly wish to attend.
   • This year’s process is not first-come, first-served. You can apply at any point during the application window and all applications will be treated the same (early March- March 25).

After submitting your application, you will receive an email confirming your student’s Summer Rising program preferences.
