Happy April and Welcome Spring!
We are looking forward to the beautiful weather and spending more time outdoors. We hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing Spring Break with your families!
ELA Students are finishing HMH Module 6 Art is for Everyone where they learned how different art forms impact people in different ways.
Students are preparing for the NYS ELA by reviewing and practicing reading and writing skills learned throughout the year.
Math Students will analyze the attributes of different types of quadrilaterals and classify quadrilaterals with as many names as possible.
Student Soapbox Project begins. Students will be finding their voice and sharing their opinion on a topic they are passionate about.
We are SO excited to be your teachers this year. We know you may be nervous because you are in a new grade, but just know that this will be the BEST YEAR EVER!! We have so many fun activities planned for you this year! We cannot wait to meet you on the first day of school on September 7, 2023!
On September 7th, your teachers will be collecting your summer work that was given to you by your 4th grade teachers. This will be your first opportunity to earn class rewards and really IMPRESS your new teachers!
PS. Don’t forget to read over the summer too! We will be sitting with each of you in September to find your reading level and we want to make sure it is your best work!

- The NYS ELA Exam will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 16th and 17th . Please make sure your child gets a good night sleep, eats a healthy breakfast and is on time. If your child wears glasses, please make sure they are not forgotten at home.
- Please make sure your child is continuing to read for 30 minutes every day and regularly practicing multiplication times tables.
